Tax Certificates

To receive a tax certificate, please submit a request in writing with a copy of a cheque for $35.00 or payment of $35.00 to the email accountingclerk@smokylake.ca

Once this information is submitted, a copy of the tax certificate will be provided. After payment is received, the original tax certificate will be mailed. Please be aware that there will be an additional utility charge up to and including the final reading/possession date if the property is changing ownership. If the current owner does not pay, the outstanding balance will be transferred to property taxes. Please note: if there is a change in ownership, the current owner will need to complete a utility cancellation form and the new owner will need to complete a utility connection form with a payment of $50.00 for a new customer fee.
