When To Vote

Advance Vote

Eligible voters are encouraged to vote early. Advance voting will take place on October 18, 2025 at the Town of Smoky Lake Office located at 56 Wheatland Ave from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

Election Day

Election day is Monday, October 20, 2025. The polling station is located at the Ortona Drop-in Center, at 124 White Earth Street, Smoky Lake and will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

 

Institutional Vote

NOTE: Only residents of the below locations may cast their ballot in the institutional vote.

Institutionalized Voting will take place on Election Day, October 20, 2025 at the following locations with times to be determined: 

• George McDougall Smoky Lake Health Care Center - Auxiliary Long Term Care 
• Smoky Lake Bar-V-Nook Manor & Bar-V-Nook Supportive Living Centres

 

Special (Mail in) Ballots

Special Ballots are available to any eligible elector, upon request, in accordance with the Local Authorities Election Act.

**Special Ballots are anticipated to be available in early October, pending ordering of ballots after close of Nomination Period.
