Scenic Drives

A simple drive through the Smoky Lake countryside reveals original homestead buildings still standing. Imagine the history and see the primitive yet interesting construction methods of these old, weathered structures. Most pioneer families were very large and lived in one- or two-room homes, surviving on what they could grow or harvest from the land. For them, this was just a way of life and was never considered a hardship.
The town of Smoky Lake stands out as the envy of most small towns in Alberta.
We invite you to come and visit to see for yourself.
