2025 MUNICIPAL ELECTION

Nominations for Mayor (one)  and Councillors (four) will be accepted by the Returning Officer from Wednesday January 1, 2025, until 12:00 p.m. on Monday, September 22, 2025. All candidates are encouraged to make an appointment with the Returning Officer to file their nomination papers. Appointments are available during regular business hours, Monday through Friday.

 

Before accepting campaign contributions or incurring expenses, candidates must file their intent to run as per the Local Authorities Election Act.

• September 22, 2025 Nomination Day (closes at 12:00 p.m.)
• September 23, 2025 Last day to withdraw nominations (12:00 p.m.)
• Advanced Polls (Date and Location TBD)
• October 20, 2025 Election Day
• October 27, 2025 Newly Elected Councillor Orientation (all day)
• March 1, 2026 Campaign Disclosure Statement Deadline
