Deputy Mayor Marianne Prockiw-Zarusky

Marianne’s family roots go back more than 100 years in the Smoky Lake area. She grew up on a farm near Warspite, AB. After Marianne attended and graduated from H.A. Kostash, she pursued higher education and career opportunities in Edmonton. Returning to Smoky Lake, 12 years ago, she was a business owner and worked as the FCSS Program Manager with the Town of Smoky Lake for eight years. She has served as a volunteer board member of the Smoky Lake Pumpkin Growers, Community Learning Council, and Ukrainian Catholic Ladies League. Marianne will continue creating positive change by contributing her energy, passion, and experience. She is looking forward to serving the citizens of Smoky Lake.
